Kathleen Immordino
Dr. Kathleen M. (Kate) Immordino is the Director of Organizational Research and Assessment at the University Center for Organizational Development and Leadership. Prior to joining Rutgers in 2007, she was a career public administrator with over 25 years of state government experience, and is a Certified Public Manager. She served as the Assistant Commissioner for Administration in the New Jersey Department of Transportation, as the Assistant Commissioner for Planning and Research in the New Jersey Department of Personnel, and as Director of the Human Resource Development Institute, the training arm of state government. Dr. Immordino received her Ph.D. from Rutgers University.
Dr. Immordino was recognized in 2002 and 2004 by Quality New Jersey for Best Practices in New Jersey state government. She is a past president of the New Jersey Chapter of the American Society for Public Administration and a past vice-chair of the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials Subcommittee on Human Resources, and was a member of the Publications Advisory Board of the International Public Management Association for Human Resources. She is an adjunct professor at Rider University.
Dr. Immordino was a member of the National Association of College and University Business Officers (NACUBO) research team that conducted a study of the impact of the Spellings Commission on the Future of Higher Education. This work led to the publication of Assessing the Impact of the Spellings Commission: The Message, The Messenger, and the Dynamics of Change in Higher Education (NACUBO, 2008).
At Rutgers, she has been involved with Excellence in Higher Education; strategic planning; development of outcome measures for the Rutgers Study Abroad program, Upward Bound, EOF and Career Services; and stakeholder surveys and focus groups for departments including the School of Social Work, Transportation Services, Athletics, Mail and Document Services, Human Resources and the Learning Centers.
